Refrigeration systems are used for maintaining low temperature,say from 20 degree centigrade & 69 degree farehnight down to very low temperature as those required for food preservation, industrial application,laboratories,etc and for cooling and dehumidification in air conditioning application air conditioning is used for maintaining conditions (1) suitable for human comfort or (2) required by a product or process.
food preservation, both for processing and storage is one of the significant application of refrigeration, food processing calls for chilling ,quick freezing or freeze drying , typical application are domestic refrigerators and home freezers , ice creams manufacturing and storage drinking water coolers, beverage cooling,cold storages, process cooling of meat, fish, dairy products, Fruits, Vegetables & transport refrigeration etc. Refrigeration is very vital to the chilled & frozen foods industry for maintaining the cold chain that the supply of such foods from the form to the consumer.
